We are not one to blow our own trumpet but our ‘Animal Sounds for Children (20 Amazing Animals)’ video on YouTube currently has over half a billion (yes billion!) views and this number is growing every day!
Why are we telling you this? Obviously because we are pleased that this video has been such a success but also that parents the world over love to use animal sounds to encourage sound and speech development for their babies and toddlers.
How does learning sounds help children speak?
Learning sounds can help children develop language skills by introducing them to new sounds, words, and the concept of communication. Imitating these sounds enhances phonemic awareness, which is crucial for speech development.
The repetition and fun of mimicking animals engages children, making learning enjoyable. In addition, associating sounds with specific animal’s aids in vocabulary building, memory, and cognitive connections between the sounds and meanings.
